Realme 12 Pro Plus vs. Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus: Which mid-range should you buy?
China’s brand is growing rapidly in the tech industry. Realme and Redmi are the first choice for the budgetable phone in the Indian market. Realme 12 Pro Plus and Redmi Note Pro Plus are better options; you must choose which feature you want when buying the phone. These phones are one step ahead of each other in terms of looks, chipsets, and cameras.
Looks & Design
If you look at the designs, Realme 12 Pro Plus is ahead of Redmi because it is available in Submarine Blue colour and it is inspired by the dial pad of the Rolex watch, which gives a new look to the phone and it has a golden colour of strips. While the Redmi comes in three colour combinations- violet, white and sky blue vegan leather with a plastic frame has been used in the body of both.
Chipset and operating system
There is not much difference in both chipsets. Realme has Android 14 based on Realme UI 5.0 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with Adreno GPU. The processor has a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz and is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. This proves that it will also receive the Hyper Os update.
On the other hand, the chipset with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC uses TSMC’s 4nm process and Adreno A710 GPU. The maximum clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz and comes with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It includes three years of security updates.
Camera
Both these phones have a tri[ple rear camera which captures portraits and ultra-wide angles with better picture quality, but this Realme 12 Pro 5G goes ahead in quality; it has better colour toning as well as blurs with better options.
The Realme sports a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS, a 32 MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensor with OIS and 2x optical zoom support and an 8 MP Ultra wide angle lens while the 16 MP selfie camera in the front.
On the other hand, Redmi comes with a 200 MP ISOCELL HP3 with OIS and EIS image stabilizations and a 4x zoom sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP macro lens, while the front-facing camera has the same 16 MP.
Display
If we talk about the display, here Redmi won the race because it has better screen quality and IP rating with an IR blaster. It gives a better bright screen in the sunlight than the Realme handset. Both have punch-hole display cards.
If you love looks, chipsets and designs, you might like the Realme handset, but the Redmi handset’s performance and storage capacity are better than itss. The price difference is only two thousand in India. Realme sold out at 30,000, and Redmi sold at 28,000.
